Marketing Strategy Development

More often than not businesses get strategy and tactics confused. Our view is that a Marketing Strategy should address key business issues and objectives.

It should reference the business key value proposition, key messaging and contain target market definitions. It should focus on the big picture.


After the marketing strategy is developed the marketing plan can be produced which usually focuses on a smaller time frame and contains the activity which will achieve strategic objectives.

To help businesses get an understanding of the importance of developing a strategy before a plan we like to run a half-day workshop with the owner and key staff to make sure that everyone is aligned an understands that any sales and marketing activity will need to focus on the strategic objectives.

From here we produce a strategy document that contains 3-year objectives and key milestones and measures.
